Common questions about working with us
How does the design process begin?
Most projects begin with an Orientation & Space Review — a measured first session where we visit your space, ask questions about how you live and work, and put together an initial mood document. From there, you decide how far you would like to take the collaboration.
Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want before contacting you?
Not at all. Many clients come to us with nothing more than a sense that their space is not quite working. Part of our role is to help you articulate what you want — through careful questioning and visual references — so that a clear direction can emerge naturally.
How long does a full interior project typically take?
A Full Interior Development typically spans 5–9 weeks from brief to final package. Projects that also include Build & Styling Assistance — covering renovation and finishing — generally run 8–14 weeks, depending on the scope and contractor availability. We will give you a realistic timeline at the outset.
What is included in the Full Interior Development service?
The package covers spatial layout planning, material and furniture selection, a colour and lighting strategy, 3D visualization of key areas, and a full specifications document. Two feedback rounds are included so that you have the opportunity to refine the direction before anything is finalised.
Can Estua work with my existing contractor?
Yes. If you already have a contractor in place, we are glad to coordinate with them. We can also recommend vendors we have worked with previously if you would prefer introductions from us. Our Build & Styling Assistance service is specifically designed to bridge the gap between design and execution, whoever is carrying out the works.
How is pricing structured?
Our services are priced as fixed packages — MYR 470 for an Orientation & Space Review, MYR 1,650 for Build & Styling Assistance, and MYR 3,200 for a Full Interior Development. These fees cover design work only and do not include furniture, materials, or contractor costs. There are no surprise add-ons.
Do you work on commercial projects as well as residential?
Yes. Our Full Interior Development service covers both residential and commercial spaces. Small offices and retail environments are particularly well-suited to our methodology. If you have a larger or more complex project, please do get in touch and we can discuss what would be appropriate.
