Client Reviews
From clients across Kuala Lumpur
"We had been living in our Mont Kiara apartment for four years before we finally called Estua. The Space Review alone was enough to give us clarity we had been missing. Soo Lin pointed out things about our layout that should have been obvious to us but somehow weren't. We went ahead with the full development and the result is genuinely how we always wanted the place to feel."

"What I valued most was that they never pushed me in a direction. Every idea they presented came with a clear reason, and when I had second thoughts, they worked through it with me rather than brushing it aside. The renovation took a bit longer than expected due to the contractor, but Razif kept everything moving and was honest about delays as they happened."

"I used the Orientation & Space Review for my home office. I did not want a full redesign — just some direction on layout and lighting. The document they delivered was genuinely useful and gave me enough to make confident decisions on my own. Excellent value for the fee."

"Our café in Desa Park City was in real need of a rethink. Maya's visual work was extraordinary — the material boards helped us explain the new direction to our investors, which made approvals far smoother. The final space has received a lot of attention and we attribute much of that to Estua's careful work on the details."

"I was sceptical about whether a design firm could really make a difference to a fairly standard terrace house in Cheras. I was wrong. The changes they proposed were not dramatic but every one of them was right. The space feels larger and calmer. My children noticed the difference before I even told them anything had changed."

"Having Razif coordinate the renovation was the part that surprised me most. I have been through one renovation before and it was exhausting. This time I felt genuinely informed and involved without having to manage everything myself. The finishing session at the end tied everything together beautifully."

Challenge
Mont Kiara Condominium
A couple with two young children had lived in their 1,200 sq ft condo for six years without making any design changes. The kitchen and living area were functionally blended without intention, and natural light was not reaching the dining area despite large windows nearby.
Solution
A full interior development engagement began with an Orientation Review to identify the specific pain points. The layout was adjusted to redirect morning light into the dining zone without structural changes. A material palette of warm neutrals and natural oak was developed to unify the kitchen and living space visually.
Result
- Dining area receives morning light 3 hours longer daily
- Storage increased by 40% without changing room dimensions
- Completed within the 7-week timeline
- Client described it as "the home we always imagined"
Timeline: 7 weeks
Challenge
Desa Park City Café
A café operator in Desa Park City wanted to reposition their space from a functional daytime café to a venue that attracted both morning regulars and evening gatherings. The existing interior was serviceable but lacked a distinct character and the lighting was flat throughout the day.
Solution
Full interior development with a focus on flexible lighting zones — bright and welcoming during daytime service, warm and intimate in the evenings. The material palette incorporated rattan, exposed plaster, and hand-glazed ceramics sourced from local makers. Seating arrangements were reworked for both community tables and private nooks.
Result
- Evening sittings increased by approximately 60% post-reopening
- Featured in a local design publication, April 2025
- Investor approval secured partly on the basis of the visual package
Timeline: 9 weeks
Challenge
Cheras Terrace Renovation
A family in Cheras was undertaking their first major renovation and felt unprepared to manage the process independently. They had a vision for a calmer, more cohesive space but were uncertain about materials and had no existing contractor relationships.
Solution
Full interior development followed by Build & Styling Assistance. Estua handled all contractor introductions, negotiated quotes, and monitored the site throughout the 11-week build. Weekly update summaries were shared with the client so they remained informed without being overwhelmed.
Result
- Completed within 11 weeks as planned
- Client described the process as "the calmest renovation we could have hoped for"
- Final finishing session completed in one afternoon
Timeline: 11 weeks
